PPÜ is a underwear brand from (I think) Colombia. If they have a web site, my Google-fu has failed me and I haven't been able to find it. However, I did manage to find a batch of nice images from their latest catalog, which you can find in this foto album.
A versión española of one of my favorite telenovelas, "Pasión de gavilanes", is currently being filmed. It will be titled "La venganza de los Gavilanes", and it will air weekly on Antena 3 later this year. Let's take a look at the men who'll be playing los hermanos Reyes and compare them to the actors from the original, Colombian version:
From left to right: Rodolfo Sancho (who'll play Juan, the role portrayed by Mario Cimarro in the original), Alejandro Albarracín (as Frank Reyes, the Michel Brown role) y Roger Berruezo (as Oscar, filling in Juan Alfonso Baptista's big shoes).
What do you think? Personally, any version without Juan Alfonso Baptista is going to be judged as inferior by me. ;) But it looks worth checking out.
Word is that Mexico and Brazil have also purchased the rights to make their own versions of "Pasión de gavilanes". Ooh, fantasy casting time! For the Brazilian version, how about Malvino Salvador as Juan, Reynaldo Gianecchini as Oscar, and... hmm, I'll have to think about the rest... (Edit: Whooops, I forgot there's already been a Mexican remake. It was called ""Fuego en la sangre"" and starred Eduardo Yáñez, Jorge Salinas, and Pablo Montero. Yawn.)
Yiftach Klein (יפתח קליין) is an actor from Israel who was born on September 28, 1972 in Tel Aviv. He's appeared in two TV series with gay themes (though without playing gay himself): "'Til the Wedding" (Ad Ha-Chatuna, עד החתונה), which is soon to start a second season, and "The Ran Quadruplet" (Revieiyat Ran, רביעיית רן). He has two children with the screenwriter Shiri Artzi (שירי ארצי).
Heh, I'd like a pair of underwear from the Brazilian manufacturer Upman with the word "upsport" spread across the rear. Why do I think I've met this model before? More of him in this foto album.
Giuseppe Di Bella (called "Peppe") is a bailarín (dancer) and model who was born on December 24, 1986 in Milazzo in Italy. He's one of the professional dancers in the current season of "¡Más Que Baile!" (formerly "¡Mira Quién Baila!"), the Spanish version of "Strictly Come Dancing"/"Dancing with the Stars", in which celebrities are paired with professional dancers and compete for a prize. He was previously a dancer on "Operaciòn Triunfo" in 2009, and he was one of the original cast members of "40 El Musical". Most of the images in this post were taken by Vincent Urbani. You can see more of Giuseppe in this foto album.
Juan Alfonso Baptista is currently in Miami, where he's filming a new telenovela produced by Venevision, "Sacrificio de mujer" ("A Woman’s Sacrifice"), which will also feature Pablo Azar and Christian Carabias. This news is good enough reason to post these new fotos of El Gato -- not that we ever need an excuse, of course:
... because the next thing he knew, he was being strung up and whipped by the mansion's owner.
Of course, not being able to speak Spanish and all, I might be misinterpreting these scenes. At any rate, I do have a video of the post-flogging scene pictured above, but since it's slightly NSFW (with a glimpse of Roger's bare backside), I posted it over at our tumblog Cisoto Quickies instead. In further news, Roger is set to star in a remake of "Pasión de Gavilanes”.
